About
Why Grenada.
Grenada is a Caribbean island nation south of St. Vincent, known as "the Spice Island" for its nutmeg and cocoa exports. Its citizenship-by-investment program, launched in 2013, has quickly become the most strategically positioned in the Caribbean.
Two features set Grenada apart from its regional peers. First, Grenada is the only Caribbean CBI country with a visa-waiver agreement with China. That opens business access to a market most second-passport holders cannot reach freely. Second, Grenada is a US E-2 treaty country: after three years as a Grenadian citizen, you can apply for the E-2 investor visa to live and operate a business in the United States indefinitely, with renewals.
The Grenadian passport ranks 25th in the 2026 Henley Passport Index with 147 visa-free destinations including the entire Schengen Area, China, Russia, Singapore, and 85% of South America. UK entry uses the standard eTA.
Grenada is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations and CARICOM, providing diplomatic and consular support through Commonwealth offices worldwide. The country has been politically stable since independence in 1974.
